The Time-Triggered Chime Movement plays Westminster and strikes out the hours. As the clock motor marks the hour, it triggers a separate chime box to play the Westminster melody and to strike out the hours. The 10" lead wires from the movement to the chime box and 7" lead wires from the chime box to the speaker allow the movement and speaker to be placed where it is convenient in your clock case. Time-triggered clock movements are often wired to separate chime boxes that play music, bird calls, speech and more. This movement may be used as a potential replacement by disconnecting the wires from the Westminster chime box and wiring your own chime box (Westminster chime box is not returnable). Standard hands do not fit this movement as this movement has a different hand shaft diameter than our other motors.
